30 Rock star Tracy Morgan has revealed that he and his wife Megan Wollover have split, after almost five years of marriage.
The comedian, 51, and Megan, 33, – who share seven-year-old daughter Maven Sonae – wed in August 2015, 14 months after he was left fighting for his life following the horrific bus crash that killed his friend James McNair.
‘Sadly, after nearly five years of marriage, Megan and I are filing for divorce. This is a challenging time for all involved, so I ask that you please respect our privacy,’ Tracy said in a statement on Wednesday, via PEOPLE Magazine.

He is also father to three adult sons Gitrid, 34, Malcolm, 32, and Tracy Jr., 28, from his previous relationship with ex-wife Sabina Morgan.
Tracy announced his engagement to Megan while walking the red carpet at the Emmy Awards back in September 2012, and it later seemed that his near-death experience prompted the couple to get married after their long engagement.
‘We have been through so much and our love is stronger for it,’ Tracy told PEOPLE Magazine at the time of his wedding, adding that he was determined to get through physical therapy in order to walk down the aisle without the assistance of a cane or a wheelchair.

On June 7, 2014, Tracy was a passenger in a Mercedes Sprinter minibus involved in a six-vehicle crash just after 1:00am as the vehicle was traveling northbound on the New Jersey Turnpike near Cranbury.
Tracy’s minibus was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer operated by a Wal-Mart driver, causing a chain reaction crash, leaving him with critical injuries and tragically killing comedian James McNair, 62, known as ‘Jimmy Mac.’
Last year, Tracy tweeted about incident, remembering his friend James and thanking Megan and his family for helping him through the ordeal. ‘Five years ago tonight, me and my friends, Jimmy Mac, Jeff, @ARDIEFUQUA, @HarrisStanton, Ty, & Joceleyn were in a horrific accident. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss my friend Jimmy Mac, who sadly lost his life that night. I love you Jimmy.’ he tweeted.
Road to recovery: Tracy appeared on the Today show in 2015, where he broke down in tears discussing the horrific crash left him fighting for his life, and killed his friend James McNair
He posted a second tweet adding: ‘I thank GOD for my family. I am eternally grateful for the love and support they give me. My wife, daughter, sons, and friends are what got me back on my feet. I live every day trying to do right by them and make the most of this second chance.’
Talking to PEOPLE about his recovery for his wedding in 2015, Tracy said: ‘I don’t want to walk my wife down the aisle with a cane or in a wheelchair,’ adding: ‘So I had to go hard with the therapy I had to get better. There was no ifs, ands or buts about it.’
In 2017, Tracy came to agreement an with Wal-Mart over his multi-million dollar payout, though the exact sum remained confidential. However, reports suggested at the time the retailer may have paid out a sum as high as $90 million.
He later revealed that he was in a coma for two weeks following the accident, and had to undergo treatment for traumatic brain injury, including daily speech, cognitive, vocational and physical therapies.
First finding stardom as a long-running cast member on Saturday Night Live, Tracy then co-starred on 30 Rock from 2006 to 2013.
He was nominated for an Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role Emmy in 2009.
