Old pals Kanye West and Jared Kushner met up for what appeared to be a power dinner in Miami on Thursday night, but a source told Page Six that business was off the table.
“It was a purely private dinner,” the insider exclusively told us. “No business agenda.”
The billionaire rapper, 44, and the former White House senior adviser, 40, were photographed together as a masked employee let them out of the exit of the Italian celebrity hotspot Carbone in Miami Beach.
West wore a bright highlighter-yellow hoodie for the outing, while Kushner kept his look more subdued with a long-sleeve black sweater.
Carbone appears to be a favorite dining spot for West — who now goes by Ye. He took new fling Julia Fox to the Miami branch for their first date on New Year’s Day, and the couple then dined at the New York location for their first rendezvous in the Big Apple.
However, it appears that the “Heartless” rapper left his new lady behind for his most recent trip down south. On Wednesday, a source told us that Fox was photographed outside of West’s hotel in NYC just as West jetted off to catch a private flight.
The Yeezy CEO apparently had a boys’ night in mind for his meetup with Kushner, as the investor’s wife, Ivanka Trump, also was not present for the dinner Thursday.
Kushner previously revealed that he and West actually go way back.
After the pair got together in Telluride, Colo., in August 2020, Kushner shared that he’s been friends with the “Jesus Walks” rapper for more than a decade.
“Unlike others, I’m able to keep friendships across the aisle,” he told Fox News at the time.
Kushner also gave a bit of insight into their friendship at the time, sharing that while they had discussed policy a bit, they also talked about a book on empowering black Americans that the music mogul had sent him.
“Kanye sent me a book about a month ago called ‘PowerNomics‘ … I read the book,” the real estate developer said. “It was absolutely phenomenal, it actually incorporated a lot of the things that President Trump has been doing.”
West has also been on friendly terms with Kushner’s father-in-law, Donald Trump, and even received a lot of heat for wearing the former POTUS’ signature “Make America Great Again” hat.
