The actor was set to appear one last time in the show.
Spoilers for And Just Like That… follow.
After Mr. Big’s death in the beginning of And Just Like That…, actor Chris Noth (who played Big in both AJLT and the original Sex and the City series) was apparently set to appear on the show one last time — but that’s not happening anymore.
Variety confirms that the actor — who has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women since And Just Like That…‘s first episode aired — has been cut from the show’s finale, which airs February 3 on HBO.
Noth was reportedly set to reprise his role as Big one last time in a fantasy sequence set in France, as Carrie spreads his ashes at the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris.
But the creative team behind And Just Like That… reportedly decided that the episode worked fine without Noth’s scene — so he was cut.
The backlash following the allegations against Noth has been swift. Last month, he was also dropped from his role in the CBS series The Equalizer.
A deal to sell Noth’s tequila brand also fell through, and his viral Peloton ad that followed Big’s death was also removed from the brand’s socials.
