Paris Hilton proved she had nothing but well wishes for her former ‘frenemy’ Lindsay Lohan amid her recent engagement.
The newly married 40-year-old hotel heiress took to her This Is Paris podcast on Friday to congratulate the Mean Girls star, 35, on her engagement to Bader Shammas.
Briefly touching on their rocky relationship, Paris continued to say that despite their past ‘differences’ she was ‘genuinely very happy,’ for Lindsay.

She said yes! The 35-year-old actress got engaged to Bader Shammas on November 28
‘I also just saw that Lindsay got engaged,’ Paris said. ‘And I know we’ve had our differences in the past, but I just wanted to say congratulations to her and that I am genuinely very happy for her.’
Lohan announced her engagement to Shammas — the assistant vice president of Credit Suisse in Dubai — on November 28 as she gushed: ‘My love. My life. My family. My future.’
In her podcast, Hilton continued to reflect on her relationships with both Lohan and Britney Spears — who she called the ‘holy trinity’ — and remarked at how much their lives had changed since their partying days.
‘It just makes me so happy to see, you know, 15 years later, and just so much has happened in the past two weeks. I got married, Britney got her freedom back and engaged, and then Lindsay just got engaged.
‘So I love just seeing how different our lives are now and just how much we’ve all grown up and just having love in our lives,’ the Simple Life star said in conclusion.

Paris and Lindsay’s feud dates back to 2006 when the Freaky Friday actress was reportedly linked to Hilton’s ex, Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos.
Just days later Paris was filmed blatantly laughing at her friend Brandon Davis who insulted Lohan’s finances and called her a ‘fire crotch’ while talking to paparazzi.
‘I think she’s worth about $7 million, which means she’s really poor. It’s disgusting. She lives in a motel,’ he said while Paris chuckled at the rude remarks.
That same year Lohan called Hilton a ‘c**t’ on camera but then denied it while seemingly under the influence: ‘I never said that. I love Paris. Paris is my friend,’ she recanted.
And the drama continued as she then accused the Cooking With Paris star of hitting her with a drink at a party but one day later they were both seen out in Los Angeles with Spears.
Friends: The former friends enjoyed a public feud beginning in 2006 which seemed to begin when the Freaky Friday actress was reportedly linked to Hilton’s ex Stavros Niarchos, at which point they took jabs at each other in the media; pictured 2004
War of words: Jabs ranged from Hilton publicly laughing as a friend joked that Lohan was ‘poor’ and calling her a ‘fire crotch’ while Lohan then called her a ‘c**t’ and alleged that Paris threw a drink at her; pictured 2004
Snide jabs at each other continued throughout the years — which also saw Lohan go to rehab and Hilton go to jail for five days — but in 2009 it was maintained that things were fine between them.
‘I saw her a month ago and she was really sweet and seemed really happy’ Paris told Glamour Magazine in 2009. ‘And we’re all adults now.’
In 2011 however Paris made a joke about Lindsay being a thief which coincided with her being sentenced to 120 days in jail for stealing a necklace, but she issued an apology and the pair got back on track.
At 2013 Art Basel the Just My Luck actress was accused by Paris’ younger brother of physically attacking him though the culprit was later found to be a man named Ray Lemoine.
Vowing to get revenge Paris said: ‘They both will pay for what they did. No one f**ks with my family and gets away with it,’ as she commented on an Instagram he posted of his injuries.
