The members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan always seem to be involved in one scandal or another. While the Kardashian-Jenners have made some questionable decisions along their path to the top, it seems like they are ridiculed in some capacity for nearly every decision they make.
While the family has built an empire by marketing themselves, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are always getting slammed for using their social media only to promote things they want to sell. Read on to learn why fans feel like they are being used and are upset about Khloé Kardashian‘s latest sales promotion.
Building the Kardashian-Jenner empire
The Kardashian-Jenner sisters are expert saleswomen. The family matriarch, Kris Jenner, has created an empire for her family by simply marketing them as a real authentic family.
Kris Jenner is actually the one who came up with the concept for Keeping up with the Kardashians and got the show off the ground in 2007. While the momager may get some hate, there’s no denying that she knows how to make money. Kris Jenner knows how to market, and through her expertise, the family has become a brand in itself.
Kris Jenner has passed on her expert marketing and business skills to her children as well. Kris Jenner’s five daughters — Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner — all have created flourishing personal brands over the last decade.
The family gets criticism as people who became famous for being famous. While the family may receive some hate, that’s personal branding at its finest. While the sisters have all put hard work into developing their personal brands over the years, the Kardashian-Jenner empire would not be possible without Kris Jenner’s guidance and expertise.
Fans aren’t happy being used
The Kardashian-Jenner sisters don’t just have a knack for selling themselves. Over the last decade, they’ve also mastered the art of selling products.
The older three Kardashian sisters have ventured into many business opportunities over the years. The three own a chain of boutique clothing stores known as Dash. The first Dash store was launched in Calabasas, California, in 2006. However, Dash was just the beginning business venture for the sisters.
The Kardashian sisters have broadened their business ventures to include apps, beauty, cosmetics, and clothing lines. The younger two Jenner sisters have also joined in on the business ventures in recent years.
After Kylie Jenner launched her makeup line known as Kylie Cosmetics, she became the youngest self-made billionaire in 2019. There’s no doubt that the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are great saleswomen. However, fans have expressed that they sometimes feel like the only thing the sisters do is push products down their throats. Ultimately, fans of the sisters aren’t happy feeling used.

One Kardashian-Jenner sister that fans aren’t too happy with right now is Khloé Kardashian. She recently appeared as a guest on the morning talk show, The View. Whoopi Goldberg, one of the show hosts, and Khloé Kardashian discussed how they both suffer from migraines.
Khloé Kardashian went on to talk about the migraine medication she takes and disclosed that she is a Biohaven Pharmaceuticals paid spokesperson. She discussed how this is the best medication she has ever been on and that she hopes it can help other individuals who suffer from migraines as it has helped her.
While Khloé Kardashian’s advertisement seems innocent enough, fans took to Reddit to discuss their anger at another Kardashian, only promoting things that they want to sell or have a stake in. One fan wrote that her appearance on The View was “basically an ad for her migraine medication.”
Another fan chimed in: “Her eyes are darting around all over the place! She can’t even try to make eye contact with her camera. Talking in bullshit circles. SMH. The whole segment was sponsored by that Migraine pharm company.”
So, while the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have become great marketers and saleswomen over the years, not all of their fans are supportive of their various business endeavors.
