Looks like Demi Lovato has already gathering wedding inspiration with some help from a rom-com classic! On Thursday (July 24), the newly-engaged pop star gave fans a peek at her rewatch of The Wedding Planner on social media.
“Why yes, I AM WATCHING THE WEDDING PLANNER TODAY CAUSE I’M GETTING MARRIED YA’LL!!!” she captioned a screenshot of Jennifer Lopez as titular wedding planner Mary Fiore from the 2001 film in a since-deleted Instagram Story.
Earlier this week, the pop singer’s boyfriend Max Ehrich popped the question in an intimate beachside proposal after several months of dating. “I knew I loved you the moment I met you. It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too…I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage. I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby,” she wrote at the time, also giving her followers a close-up look at her massive diamond engagement ring.
While there’s no word yet on when or how Lovato plans to walk down the aisle, she and Ehrich have spent the majority of their quarantine isolated together in a house the star rented after moving out of her apartment building during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. According to Lovato’s Instagram feed, the pair also recently spent a luxurious weekend getaway at the famed “invisible house” in Joshua Tree, Calif.
