Lily Collins has wed her fiancé Charlie McDowell, tying the knot in a private ceremony in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado over the weekend.

The Emily In Paris star, and daughter of rocker Phil Collins, shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday with a stunning snap from the big day, with the bride stunning in a vintage-inspired lace gown and cape. 

Lily, 32, penned: ‘I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife. 

‘On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell. Never been happier…’

In another post, she added: ‘What started as a fairytale, is now my forever reality. I’ll never be able to properly describe how otherworldly this past weekend was, but magical is a pretty good place to start…’

Lily looked stunning in a traditional white lace gown and matching hooded cape in snaps taken by Cedar & Pines Photography.

The dress featured a high neck and long sleeves, and she was seen standing with her tuxedo-clad husband under a magical-looking waterfall. 

In another snap they embraced under a rustic wooden structure.

Reacting to Lily’s exciting post, several fans and showbiz pals rushed to share their congratulations, with Sarah Hyland writing: ‘YASSSSSSS.’

Vanessa Hudgens replied: ‘Congratulations babeeee’, while Maria Sharapova penned: ‘How beautiful!!! ❤️.’

Shocked by the unexpected announcement, Simon Pegg wrote: ‘WHAAAAAAAAT!!??’, with Freida Pinto adding: Love this soooo much! Congrats to you both.’ 

Meanwhile, Charlie also took to his Instagram to share his wedding news as he too posted a stunning snap of him embracing his new wife.

He penned: ‘I married the most generous, thoughtful, and beautiful person I’ve ever known. I love you @lilyjcollins.’

Last September, the couple became engaged in the stunning surrounds of Sedona, Arizona, with Lily showing off her ring on social media.

Her engagement came after just one year of dating the The One I Love filmmaker, 38. 

Les Misérables star Lily, who confirmed her relationship with Charlie in August 2019 wrote: ‘I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…’

Artist Charlie uploaded a separate photo of his new fiancée beaming with delight, with an accompanying caption which read: ‘In a time of uncertainty and darkness you have illuminated my life. I will forever cherish my adventure with you.’ 

The TV and film star cut a casual figure during the special moment as she opted for comfort in a multi-coloured jumper and wide-leg jeans.

The writer, meanwhile, looked equally low-key in a grey T-shirt, a baseball cap and dark-wash jeans. 

The proposal happened during a week-long roadtrip with Outdoorsy.com in a Winnebago Revel.

Lily is the latest in a long line of A-List partners for Charlie, who directed The One I Love and The Discovery. 

The LA native has dated several high-profile actresses, including Emilia Clarke, 33, Hilary Duff, 32, and Rooney Mara, 35.

Charlie was in a relationship with Hilary for three months between September and December 2007.  

The Bye Bye Benjamin star then had a serious romance with Rooney for over six years from 2010, which came to an end in September 2016. 

Charlie and Game Of Thrones star Emilia confirmed they were dating in October 2018, but the relationship fizzled out and they called it quits in February 2019.

Lily has also had her fair share of headline-grabbing relationships, including a brief romance with her Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile co-star Zac Efron, 32, in 2012.

The brunette had an on/off romance with British actor Jamie Campbell Bower, 31, for five years after meeting on the set of The Mortal Instruments, but the pair called it quits for good in 2018.

Lily and Charlie both have famous parents in common; Lily’s dad is British musician Phil Collins, while Charlie is the son of actor Malcolm McDowell and actress Mary Steenburgen. 

Late last year, the pair took their relationship to the next level as they adopted their rescue dog, and have been living together in Los Angeles amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

In November last year, Lily revealed she was ‘so excited to be a wife’ as she discussed her engagement to Charlie. 

Speaking in the fall/winter issue of Byrdie where she also posed for a breathtaking photoshoot, Lily told how she doesn’t think of becoming a wife as anything to do with whether or not she is a feminist. 

She said: ‘Can I just say? Honestly, I’m so excited to be a wife. I don’t think of it in any way, shape, or form to do with whether or not I’m a feminist.

‘To me, it’s more like, I can’t wait to be with this person, and now we get to plan something that we’ll have for the rest of our lives.’

The couple got engaged on a road trip, with Lily describing the proposal as a ‘surreal moment’ she will replay in her head many times. 

Elsewhere, in October, Lily told how it was love at first sight for her as she said that she knew she wanted to be his wife ‘the second I met him’. 

Speaking to The Mirror, the beauty gushed about her romance with the film director, as she explained how she knew they were meant to be almost immediately.

The pair met on the set of film Gilded Rage in 2019, where Lily was the star and Charlie was the director.

And opening up about that first meeting, Lily told the publication: ‘It was one of those situations where I knew the second I met him that I wanted to be his wife one day. So, it was just a matter of when, really.’
