AdventHealth adjusting surgery, visitor policy – WESH 2 Orlando

This means new elective surgeries that require inpatient stays will be deferred and all cases that require a stay in the Intensive Care Unit will be reviewed. Surgeries that are already scheduled, pediatric surgeries and procedures at outpatient surgery centers, will not be affected.Additionally, visitors and employees will have to wear masks on the entire property of AdventHealth facilities.Visitation policies have also changed. Patients without COVID-19 may have two visitors at a time; patients with COVID-19 are allowed only one visitor unless they are under the age of 18, then both parents can be there, officials said.Officials also said doctors at Central Florida Centra Care facilities are saying that 1 in 4 patients are currently testing positive for COVID-19.
