Every season, ABC releases sneak peek photos of The Bachelorette’s contestants. Crawley’s list of gentlemen is now up on the show’s Facebook page, and fans have a lot to say. There are 42 contestants; however, that will dwindle to 30 when the season begins.
Fans of the show believe that since Crawley is 39, the men should be older. However, when the first list came out in March, viewers were outraged that so many were in their early twenties. It looks like ABC heard the negative comments, and reacted accordingly.
Of the new group of men, there are 26 who are in their thirties, and only 16 in their twenties. Crawley’s youngest contestant is 26, while the oldest is 40, so it is a broad range.
Who is the ‘front runner’ contestant for Clare Crawley’s season of ‘The Bachelorette?’
Since the release of Crawley’s contestants, fans call Mike Tobin the front runner for her heart. Mike is 38 and from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In his photo, he’s wearing a red plaid shirt that fans love.
“My brother Mike is truly looking for love, so he is definitely a good bet!” his sister, Jen Tobin Zurowski, wrote in a comment on Facebook.

The Canadian’s Instagram bio indicates that he is a photographer involved in visual communications, slick videos, photos, and graphics.
Several fans also point out that Crawley was once engaged to a Canadian, Benoit Beauséjour-Savard. He and the hairstylist met on Bachelor Winter Games, a spinoff inspired by the 2018 winter Olympics.

‘He’s the perfect age and genuine looking,” one fan wrote on Facebook. “Clare and him would look good together!”
Mike garnished the most likes in only two days — over 6.6 thousand — and the most comments out of all 42 gentlemen.
“I have a really good feeling about this one,” another fan added. “If he doesn’t end up with Clare, I get big next Bachelor (after Matt James) vibes.”

Typically the next Bachelor is picked from The Bachelorette contestants. However, Matt James was announced early because of the need to do the two shows closely together. The COVID-19 shut down postponed Crawley’s season for four months, so the filming will now run back to back. Some fans are already calling for Mike as the next Bachelor if Crawley does not choose him.
“They’ve gotta make him dance with her; he’s the BEST dancer!” someone else who personally knows Mike wrote. “And truly the sweetest guy.”
