Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino welcomes baby with wife Lauren. He’s a lil’ Romeo. – nj.com

Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has a little Situation on his hands.

Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, welcomed their first baby, a boy named Romeo Reign.

Appropriately enough, they made the announcement on social media Thursday, known to any “Jersey Shore” fan as “Jerzday.”

Romeo was born Wednesday, May 26, coming in at 6 pounds, 8 ounces and 19 inches.

“Romeo Reign Sorrentino,” Mike, 39, and Lauren, 36, captioned photos of the newborn and pictures from the delivery room on Instagram. The couple announced the pregnancy in November.

The “Jersey Shore” crew was ready with well wishes for the baby, who in true reality TV tradition, already has his own popular Instagram account and a forthcoming lifestyle brand.

“Welcome to my fam my gorgeous nephew!!!” said Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. “So so so exciting for you my besties! God bless and welcome to my parent club!!!!”

Polizzi left “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” in part because she wanted to spend more time with her kids. But the reality star, who has three children, can be seen in teasers for upcoming episodes filmed in the Poconos (see video below).

Of the original “Jersey Shore” crew, only Vinny Guadagnino, Angelina Pivarnick and Sammi Giancola are not parents.

Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Sorrentino’s castmates in the MTV “Jersey Shore” reboot “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” followed suit, offering congratulations on Instagram.

“Welcome to the family Romeo!!!!!!” DelVecchio said. “Can’t wait to meet ya.”

“I’m not crying you are,” The Situation said in a comment on the photos.

“Crying,” Farley said.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, who has a daughter and was recently arrested in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident, has said that he will be stepping back from the show to seek mental health treatment.

Baby Situation had his own Instagram account before he was born. Today @itsbabysituation has 435,000 followers. The baby’s lifestyle brand is on the way at @shopbabysitch.

Mike, who grew up in Manalapan, met Lauren Pesce in college. He split from his college sweetheart during the filming of the original “Jersey Shore,” which premiered in 2009 and focused on Mike’s calling card — his washboard abs. They later reunited and she helped him in his struggle with sobriety.

The Sorrentinos got married in 2018 at the Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains just before he went to federal prison for tax evasion for eight months.

When Mike returned, Lauren became pregnant and had a miscarriage in 2019, early in the pregnancy. They publicly shared the story to help other families going through similar experiences. The couple, who formerly lived in Long Branch, moved into a $1.8 million mansion in Holmdel.

In addition to appearing on “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” which is entering the second half of its fourth season June 3, the Sorrentinos host a motivational podcast called “Here’s the Sitch.”

“Jersey Shore Family Vacation” recently took home two awards — for best docu-reality show and best reality cast — at the first MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted ceremony.
