The Iowa Department of Public Health on Thursday reported 282 new positive COVID-19 tests and five additional deaths. At 10 a.m., IDPH reported 400,370 total positive tests, 356,590 total recoveries and 6,018 total deaths since the pandemic began. A day earlier, IDPH reported 400,088 total positive tests and 6,013 total deaths.Iowa reports 1,286,083 individuals have been fully vaccinated in the state, with 2,641,662 total doses administered. There have been 4,983,816 COVID-19 tests administered in Iowa.The number of Iowans hospitalized with the virus increased from 145 to 146 overnight. There are 45 patients in ICU and 24 patients on ventilators.Two long-term care facilities report 17 positive cases and 1 recovery among residents and staff.
