COVID-19 Statistics | May 19, 2021 – Lost Coast Outpost

Fourteen new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Humboldt County today, bringing the total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus to 4,166.

Mass vaccination clinics continue throughout the week, with nearly 1,800 residents scheduled.  

Humboldt County Public Health will hold three Pfizer first-dose vaccination clinics starting Thursday, May 20, with additional clinics planned for Thursday, May 27, and Wednesday, June 2. Clinics are held from 2 to 6 p.m. at College of the Redwoods, located at 7351 Tompkins Hill Road in Eureka.  

All county residents age 12 and older can receive the Pfizer vaccine. A parent or guardian must accompany minor children and provide written consent for vaccination at the clinic. 

Appointments are encouraged but not required. Sign up in advance at MyTurn.ca.gov.   

Residents can now text their ZIP code to 438829 or call 800-232-0233 to find pharmacy locations offering the vaccine.
