Louisville rapper Jack Harlow has broken his silence after his DJ was charged with murder.A woman named Kasmira Nash, 37, was killed by gunfire in the early morning hours of Derby Day– May 1 — at the Vibes Restaurant and Ultra Lounge on River Road. Harlow was supposed to have a special role at the Kentucky Derby this year, but was absent last minute and his social media went dark after that.On Tuesday, Ronnie Tyshon O’Bannon, 27, also known as Lucci and a DJ for Harlow, was charged in Nash’s killing. LMPD said he turned himself that afternoon.Around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Harlow’s social media lit up again for the first time in almost two weeks with a long message posted to his Instagram story:”My heart is broken by the events that occurred over Derby weekend. My heart breaks for Kasmira, her children, and everyone else touched by this tragic death. My heart breaks for my city, a place that’s been through too much pain already. “I’ve been in touch with Kasmira’s family during this unimaginably painful time, and I’m grateful to them for keeping the lines of communication open.”Nothing can reverse what happened. Too many lives have been changed forever. My life will remain committed to making Louisville a better place.”Video posted to TMZ and social media appears to show Harlow at the club at the time of the shooting.He’s slated to perform this weekend ahead of the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore.O’Bannon’s bond was set at $500,000 and his arraignment is scheduled for May 17 at 3:30 p.m.Another person was hurt the night of the shooting, but we were told their injury was non-life-threatening.
