The Iowa Department of Public Health on Thursday reported 543 new positive COVID-19 tests and one additional death.At 10 a.m., the health department reported 394,001 total positive tests, 346,608 total recoveries and 5,931 total deaths since the start of the pandemic. Twenty-four hours earlier, the health department reported 393,458 total positive tests and 5,930 total deaths.More than one million individuals have now been fully vaccinated in Iowa. Iowa’s 14-day positivity rate is holding steady at 4% while the 7-day average increased from 3.8% to 3.9%. Iowa reports a total of 4,793,166 COVID-19 tests administered in the state.For a third day, Iowa reports 184 patients hospitalized with the virus. There are 44 patients in ICU and 25 patients on ventilators. One long-term care facility reports a COVID-19 outbreak in Iowa. The Urbandale Health Care Center reports 18 positive cases and 13 recoveries among residents and staff.
