2021 WWE WrestleMania 37 results: Live updates, recap, grades, matches, card, start time from Night 1 – CBSSports.com

WrestleMania 37 has finally arrived, and it’s already been quite the ride as the two-night extravaganza gets underway on Saturday night. Vince McMahon welcomed back the WWE Universe and Bebe Rexha performed her rendition of “America the Beautiful” before Michael Cole informed us as the match card was set to begin that the festivities were being delayed due to inclement weather. That delay has passed, though, and now we’re set for a loaded Night 1 of action at WrestleMania 37 in Tampa.

In the main event, Sasha Banks will defend the SmackDown women’s championship against 2021 Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair. It will be just the second time in WWE history that women will main event a WrestleMania card, and Banks and Belair will be the first Black women to battle one-on-one at the “Showcase of the Immortals”.

In the other world championship match on the card, Bobby Lashley will defend the WWE championship against Drew McIntyre. Lashley cost McIntyre the title at Elimination Chamber, softening him up for The Miz to successfully cash in the Money in the Bank contract. Lashley then made quick work of The Miz on Raw to win the title, but McIntyre has never taken his sights off regaining the championship he won at WrestleMania last year and carried for the majority of 2020.

The 2021 edition of WWE WrestleMania will begin live on Saturday and continue on Sunday night from Raymond James Stadium. It will begin at 8 p.m. ET with a kickoff show starting one hour earlier at 7 p.m. on Peacock. CBS Sports will be with you the whole way through the event, providing updates and highlights as the action goes down in the live blog below.
