At 10 a.m., the health department reported 370,725 total positive results, 324,617 total recoveries and 5,641 total deaths since the pandemic began. The health department reported 370,522 total positive tests and 5,633 total deaths 24 hours earlier.Health department data shows 1,105,700 vaccine doses have been administered in Iowa, while 408,914 individuals have completed the vaccine series. There are currently 161 patients hospitalized with the virus, up from 160 the previous day. There are 42 patients in ICU and 21 patients on ventilators.Iowa is down to two long-term care facilities reporting virus outbreaks. The health department reports 18 positive cases and 13 recoveries among residents and staff within those facilities. There have been 2,217 deaths reported in Iowa’s long-term care facilities.
