Syracuse, N.Y. — Three more Covid-19 vaccine signup opportunities go live online today at noon — including about 1,900 more vaccine appointments on Friday and Sunday.
Most of these options are specifically for seniors. All are exclusive to Onondaga County residents.
Here’s what you need to know about the three options:
900 vaccines at Onondaga County’s Friday clinic
Who qualifies: Anyone currently allowed to get the vaccine, no matter their age. But this clinic is mostly for teachers, government workers and other front-line employees that now qualify for the shot. Some appointments will be available for seniors.
How to sign up: The appointment website will open at noon, Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said Wednesday. He expects them to be filled within 30 minutes.
Website: https://covid19.ongov.net/vaccine/. Click where it says “Make an appointment for your first dose here.”
When does it open? Noon, Thursday, Jan. 28.
Phone option? The county is reserving a few appointments for seniors who call 211.
993 vaccines at the Oncenter on Sunday
Who qualifies? Anyone 65 or older who lives in Onondaga County.
How to sign up: These appointments are made through the Kinney Drugs website. Go to their vaccination page and click on New York to start the process.
Website: https://secure.kinneydrugs.com/pharmacy/covid-19/vaccination-scheduling/ny/
When does it open? Noon, Thursday, Jan. 28.
Phone option: Not at this time. Kinney’s officials asks that people do not call local pharmacies. That’s not how to get an appointment.
10,000 slots on ONList, the waiting list for seniors
Who qualifies? Anyone 65 or older who lives in Onondaga County.

How to sign up: The county will add the signup link to its website later today. Look for it here and here.
This online registration is much simpler than making an online appointment. Seniors will fill out a form with their name, birthdate and contact information. That will put you on a waiting list for the vaccine. The county and Kinney Drugs will randomly select from this list starting next week. The appointments will be made week by week, depending on vaccine supplies.

When does it open? Noon, Thursday, Jan. 28.
Phone option: Not at this time. Onondaga County is working with Syracuse University to set up a phone bank. Students would help seniors with their online registrations. That has not opened as of today.
