Chrissy Teigen defended herself on social media Sunday, saying a tweet she sent about a horse was ‘misinterpreted.’

Teigen, 35, has been taking horseback riding lessons recommended by a therapist, as she and husband John Legend cope with the grief of losing baby son Jack in September, as the child was stillborn as result of a partial placental abruption.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit alum took to Twitter on Saturday with a picture of a horse she said was named Cosmo relaxing in a stable.

‘My therapist says I need something that I do for just me, as I have absolutely nothing currently lol,’ the Utah-born stunner said. ‘Today begins my journey into the horse world. I hope this dude likes me Weary face he’s so handsome and appears lazy, I love.’

A Twitter user wrote back in response that the celeb’s post appeared to be tone-deaf amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis, which has left many out of work and lacking resources.

‘A lot of people are unemployed and struggling to feed their family in the midst of a pandemic,’ the user wrote. ‘Maybe now isn’t a great time to say you “have nothing” so you bought a horse to entertain yourself.’

The social media savvy stunner responded to the admonishing tweet, saying that that her wording was misleading: ‘A lot of u really misinterpreted this tweet, and I guess that’s on me.’

The Lip Sync Battle personality said that the horseback stemming from ‘a convo with a therapist’ who suggested ‘a hobby … cause [she] lost a baby’ and she’s figuring [herself] out.’

She also clarified to the user that she hadn’t actually purchased the horse: ‘And i didn’t buy a horse. But oh my god, what if I did?’
