American treasure Betty White turns 99 years old next week, with the beloved actress revealing how she plans to celebrate.
The Golden Girls star turns 99 on January 17, though she told Entertainment Tonight that her daily routine has been altered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite nearing the century mark, White is still staying as active as she can, including working on the re-release of one of her favorite shows, The Pet Set.

‘You probably didn’t ask, but I’ll tell you anyway. What am I doing for my birthday? Running a mile each morning has been curtailed by COVID, so I am working on getting The Pet Set re-released, and feeding the two ducks who come to visit me every day,’ White said.
White created The Pet Set, a syndicated series that debuted on 1971, where celebrities would come on with their beloved pets.
The series ran for 31 episodes, produced by her husband Allen Ludden, who she was married to from 1963 until his death in 1981.

The Pet Set featured celebrities such as Merv Griffin, Rod Serling, Doris Day, Bill Bixby, Barbara Eden, Ava Gabor, Michael Landon and many more.
White welcomed these celebs and their pets – including dogs, cats, birds and horses – in addition to a wide range of wild animals including tigers, bears, elephants, lions, wolves, gorillas, cougars, seals, kangaroos, zebras and eagles – both in the studio and on location.
For those who never got to see The Pet Set when it originally aired, a new DVD set is arriving next month to commemorate the show’s 50th anniversary.

MPI Media Group announced in December that they will release a DVD set for The Pet Set, featuring all 39 episodes.
‘If I haven’t told you already, I will now. The Pet Set is one of my favorite shows. I’m thrilled it’s going to be seen again after all these years,’ White said in a statement.
The DVD set will also include bonus materials including the featurettes entitled Betty White: Game Show Goddess and Betty White: Queen of Television, plus Betty’s Photo Album and her public service ads.

White is still continuing to work regularly, most recently voicing the parody character Bitey White in Toy Story 4, and the animated short Forky Asks a Question.
She also voiced Sarah Vanderwhoozie in the 2019 animated movie Trouble, along with roles in Fireside Chat with Esther and Young & Hungry.
