The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced Wednesday that its COVID-19 vaccine scheduler portal is now available for pre-registration. Earlier this week, the department announced the launch of an online COVID-19 vaccine scheduler portal on Thursday to notify Oklahomans when they’re eligible to receive the vaccine and provide more information on how to schedule an appointment. As of Wednesday, Oklahomans can visit this portal at vaccinate.oklahoma.gov, but appointment scheduling will not be available until Thursday, officials said. However, pre-registration is open for all Oklahomans to enter their personal information to determine their eligibility to receive the vaccine within Oklahoma’s priority phase plan and receive notifications when the vaccine is available to them.You can access the online portal here.Health officials said beginning Thursday, only Oklahomans who are 65 and older, health care workers and/or first responders will be able to schedule appointments. After giving personal information and insurance, she received an email, which appeared to be an automated response, from health.ok.gov, explaining that she was registered to receive the vaccine under a certain phase.Moving forward, officials said appointment availability will depend on how much of the vaccine the state receives week to week.The email response stated they are currently administering the vaccine to the residents who have been assigned to an earlier group and that they will send an email notification with information on how to schedule your vaccination as soon as your group becomes active.
