Olivia Jade Giannulli expressed giddily high hopes for 2021 in a New Year’s Day Instagram post, where she jubilantly dances on a beach house deck with a drink in her hand.
Less than a week after her mother, “Full House” star Lori Loughlin, was released from prison after serving her two-month sentence for the college admissions bribery scandal, the one-time formidable YouTube influencer Olivia Jade posted the Jan. 1 partying Instagram post.
“2021 let’s just keep the vibes good, k?” the beaming Olivia Jade, 21, wrote in the video post where she grooves with friends — including boyfriend Jackson Guthy — at the opulent beach house, ocean waves crashing below.

In August, Loughlin was sentenced to two months and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, got five months for paying half a million dollars in bribes to get their two daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli, accepted into the University of Southern California as crew recruits — even though neither played the sport.
Jade, 21, whose last YouTube make-up post was a year ago, said in a December episode of “Red Talk Table” that she was not fully in-the-know of the actions taken to secure her admission to USC. “I wasn’t aware of what was going on,” she said. “I did work hard, and when this did come out, I was a little confused … If only people knew how bad I feel that this happened.”
She recalled finding out the news of her parents’ arrest on the episode. “I was sitting with a group of friends, and I knew any second everybody was going to know too, if they didn’t already. And I remember just like freezing and feeling so ashamed, I went home and hid myself for probably like three or four months.”
She said she had not spoken to her parents during their incarceration because of COVID-19 protocols.
“No matter what the situation is, you don’t want to see your parents go to prison,” Olivia Jade said. “But also I think it’s important for us to move on and move forward.”
Most fans responded positively to the New Year’s post, written after the country hunkered down over the holiday during an out-of-control COVID-19 pandemic. There were frequent calls in the comments for Jade to return to YouTube.
Others were critical. “I mean we’re in a pandemic and she throwing parties like it didn’t exist,” wrote one user in a much-liked comment.
“Wow and this is how you wanna clean up your image,” wrote another user.
