Things appear to be cordial between Nikki Bella and John Cena.
During an interview with Us Weekly, Nikki revealed that Cena reached out to her and sister Brie when their babies were born.
“So with the baby, he reached out to Brie and I both,” Nikki said. “We haven’t had an individual conversation in gosh, I don’t know how long, but it was very short and sweet!”
Nikki said that she and Cena are tied together because of their relationship that played out for years on reality TV. She added, “All I’ve ever wanted was for him to be happy. So, it makes me happy when I see that and, like, him kicking butt in the movie world and all that stuff. I love that!”
On a related note, Nikki and Brie recently said that they would be open to returning to the ring because they want to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Last year, Nikki and Brie were scheduled to feud with then-champions the IIconics and the feud was going to kick off after WrestleMania 35 but Nikki got bad news about her neck and she was not cleared.
Cena’s WWE future is unclear. He has a lot of movie and TV offers on his plate and there has not been any talk behind-the-scenes yet in WWE about Cena returning for WrestleMania.
