As for her weight loss, she joked, “I know I look really, really different since you last saw me, but actually, because of all the COVID restrictions and the travel bans, I had to travel lighter and only bring half of me, and this is the half that I chose.”
The laughs didn’t stop there — for the audience or the 15-time Grammy winner herself — when the actual sketches kicked off. In “The Bachelor” sketch, she played a version of herself who was immediately smitten with bachelor Ben K, and would break out into song — her hit songs! — at every imagined slight. Then in “Africa Tourism,” Adele enjoyed the jokes so much that she broke character and kept cracking up.
