Adele fans are getting a closer look at the singer’s slimmer physique in a new teaser for “Saturday Night Live.”
The “Rolling in the Deep” singer is set to host the show this weekend, and she appeared alongside H.E.R. and Kate McKinnon for the promo wearing a form-fitting, purple velvet dress.
A YouTube comment that said, “Adele looks like a whole different person omg,” received more than 1,000 likes.
Another person joked, “All the old Adele impersonators are really shaking in their boots rn.”
Adele, 32, reportedly told a fan earlier this year that she had lost around 100 pounds.
The “Rumor Has It” singer has been photographed flaunting her fitter figure at the beach, a Christmas party, and on her birthday on Instagram, but “SNL” will be her first live television appearance in the US since her transformation.
Adele reportedly lost the weight by following the sirtfood diet, a meal plan that focuses on sirtuins, or proteins in the body that specialize in cellular health and metabolism. Sirtuins are found in foods like kale, extra-virgin olive oil, buckwheat, matcha, blueberries and arugula.
But many have also speculated that Adele may have gone under the knife to achieve her new look. The singer has not confirmed this.
Celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Ramtin Kassir previously told us of her more pronounced bone structure, “It absolutely could be her own jawline that was exposed [after the weight loss], but it’s so clean-looking now and it’s so tight that it just wouldn’t shock me if she had a little bit of extra help.”
There is proof, however, that Adele has turned to exercise to help her lose weight. She was photographed leaving a gym in Los Angeles in February wearing all-black workout clothes.
Her former personal trainer, Pete Geracimo, who worked with Adele for four years between 2012 and 2016, said the mother of one never had a mission to get “super skinny,” but rather it was about “getting her healthy.”
