President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden squared off on Thursday night (Oct. 22) for the last time before the Nov. 3 election. The final debate of their campaigns comes in the wake of last week’s canceled debate and subsequent, separate town halls.
Due to the chaotic nature of the first debate in September, the event, hosted by NBC News’ Kristen Welker, has new rules from the Commission on Presidential Debates. It announced that each candidate will have two minutes of uninterrupted time at the beginning of each 15-minute segment, followed by a period of open discussion.
