One fan thinks the couple is now getting to the point where they can see each other for who they are as individuals. The language barrier made the process much more drawn out because it was hard to understand each other and get to know one another for who they are.
“I think ‘Pole’ and Karine are just getting at a point where they realize who the other is as an individual now. It took three years or so due to the language barrier,” a Reddit user said about the situation.
Another fan mentions how many times Paul has talked about his past relationship issues, which of course isn’t good to bring up when you’re in a new relationship.
“Did anyone else notice how many times ‘Pole’ said ‘I’ve been really burned in past relationships?’” a fan wrote on Reddit.
One fan thinks Karine wants the “American dream” just like everyone else. “She wants the best life for her baby and her family and I think she has bought into the ‘American dream’ myth…,” a Reddit user said.

A fan says it drives them “insane” at the fact that the couple can barely communicate, yet Karine was asking for a child. Not to mention they weren’t really in a good position at the time when it comes to finances or trust, which makes things even harder with a child in the mix.
