SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported 360 new cases of COVID-19 in Utah on Saturday, with no new deaths and 23,022 vaccinations.
The rolling seven-day average for new cases is now 342, according to the health department. The positive test rate per day as calculated by the “people over people” method is now 6.6%. The positive test rate per day as calculated by the “test over test” method is now 3.4%.
There are currently 139 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Utah.
A total of 2,284,307 vaccine doses have been administered in the state, up from 2,261,285 doses on Friday. Recent estimates from the state health department show that approximately 32.2% of all Utahns are fully vaccinated and 42% have received at least one dose of vaccine. Approximately 43.4% of Utahns age 16 and up (those currently eligible for the vaccine) are fully vaccinated and 56.6% of those eligible have received at least one dose.
Saturday’s totals give Utah 400,120 total cases of COVID-19, with 16,340 total hospitalizations and 2,223 total deaths since the pandemic began.
