242 new COVID-19 cases, no deaths, 13K vaccinations reported Sunday in Utah – KSL.com

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported 242 new coronavirus cases, 13,617 new vaccinations, and no new deaths on Sunday.

The rolling seven-day average for positive cases in the state is now at 317, up from 316 on Saturday.

Calculated by the “people over people” method of testing, the percent of coronavirus tests positive in Utah is 6.5%. Calculated by the “tests over tests” method, the percent of coronavirus tests positive in Utah is 3.5%.

Currently, 153 people in Utah are hospitalized with COVID-19, bringing total hospitalizations since the pandemic began to 16,519.

A total of 1,395,253 Utahns have received at least one dose of the vaccine to protect themselves from COVID-19, with 2,407,851 vaccines administered.

A total of 402,567 Utahns have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began, with 2,637,780 total people tested for the virus and 4,812,730 total tests conducted.
