Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Daniel Radcliffe goes full sex symbol in first Weird Al biopic teaser – The Verge

People might not have known what to expect when Roku first announced that it’d tapped Daniel Radcliffe to portray Weird Al Yankovic in its upcoming biopic, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. But following the streamer’s inaugural upfront presentation this week and a new Weird trailer, there’s little question about what sort of energy director Eric Appel’s going for. At one point in Yankovic’s 1989 feature UHF, Yankovic plays a parody of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky character due to Stallone himself backing out of a planned cameo. In order to approximate Stallone’s physique for the film, Yankovic donned an oiled-up muscle suit that didn’t need to look anywhere near as convincing as it did. Though Weird’s trailer doesn’t mention UHF or Stallone by name, Radcliffe does somehow manage to evoke...

Daniel Radcliffe’s ‘Weird Al’ movie looks delightful and weird, of course – Polygon

If the casting of Daniel Radcliffe as “Weird Al” Yankovic in the upcoming musical biopic about the accordion-tickling parody artist hasn’t piqued your interest yet, perhaps the first trailer for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story will. Radcliffe is going all in as Yankovic in his early ’80s heyday for Roku’s streaming channel, the kind of thing one can do when you have Harry Potter residuals to cushion your most creative endeavors. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story “holds nothing back,” Roku says of its original film about the Grammy-winning artist, “from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It’ and ‘Like a Surgeon’ to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle.” Yes, everyone’s having a good time here. The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much; Radcliffe, ...

Inside Naomi, Wynonna and Ashley Judd’s alphabet of family tragedies – New York Post

Naomi Judd’s family spent Monday night singing hymns in her memory as they prepared to lay the country music legend to rest. But even as her loved ones are making plans to honor the singer, Williamson County Sheriff’s department in Tennessee is still investigating her death, a spokesperson confirmed to The Post. The Franklin County Coroner is also carrying out an autopsy, the results of which will not be available for up to 12 weeks. It is not yet clear when her body will be released for burial. “We are still in shock,” a close family member told The Post. “She was the best.” The singer’s daughter Ashley posted a photo on Instagram of her stepfather, Larry Strickland — “my bereft Pop” — singing the hymn “How Great Thou Art” for Naomi, adding: “Be free, my...
