Performer of the Week: Zazie Beetz – TVLine

THE PERFORMER | Zazie Beetz THE SHOW | Atlanta THE EPISODE | “Tarrare” (May 19, 2022) THE PERFORMANCE | If acting is the art of reinventing yourself, in a way, then Beetz put on the ultimate acting performance in the FX comedy’s Season 3 finale this week. She showed us a shockingly different side of Van as Earn’s normally soft-spoken ex took center stage for once, leading her friends on a wild Parisian adventure before coming clean and revealing the deep pain she’s been masking. When Van’s friend Candice spotted her in a Paris bakery, she wasn’t even sure it was her — and we weren’t, either. Beetz completely transformed Van into a plucky French heroine, with a cute wig and heavy French accent, and it was refreshing to see her out having fun and making mischief. (Her playful da...

"He's a jealous man, controlling" Former screen co-star Ellen Barkin, with whom Depp appeared in the 1998 film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, discussed the actor’s controlling nature during what she described as a brief “sexual relationship” with him. In a virtual deposition, Barkin said that during the several months the pair were together, Depp "was drunk most of the time". "He's a jealous man, controlling,” she said, explaining that he frequently asked, “Where are you going?” and “Who are you going with?” Barkin also described an on-set bottle-throwing incident. “Mr Depp threw a wine bottle across the hotel room in one instance, while we were shooting Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Daily Aspirin Regimen May Cause Bleeding – The New York Times

Dr. Wong added: “Two didn’t find any significant reductions in heart attack or stroke, but there was an increased risk of bleeding.” The third clinical trial, which was limited to people with diabetes, a higher-risk group, found a small reduction in cardiovascular events — but with a higher bleeding risk. “The harm canceled out the benefit,” Dr. Wong said. The bleeding in question usually occurs in the gastrointestinal tract but can also include brain bleeds and hemorrhagic strokes. Although the risks are low — major bleeding occurred in 1 percent or fewer of older people taking aspirin in the 2018 studies — they increase with age. “These are serious bleeds,” Dr. Brett said. “They can require transfusions. We’ll keep right on thinking that match is coming sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, Heyman also put over the opportunity The Usos would have on this here show to become the greatest tag team of all time. He made clear they were either becoming that by defeating RK-Bro and unifying the titles or they simply wouldn’t be coming home to the so-called “Island of Relevancy.” It was one hell of an opening promo from the master himself, who put everybody over while hyping the main event match-up that already had all th...
