Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Paramount Plus’ The Offer sleeps with the fishes – The A.V. Club

Miles Teller in The OfferPhoto: Nicol Wilder/Paramount+ You can’t remake The Godfather. This much Paramount knows. But while The Offer—a ten-part limited series set behind the scenes of Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 triumph—doesn’t strictly speaking break that rule, its opportunistic premise and poor execution disrespect what some have called a “perfect film” at almost laughable levels. If The Godfather was masterful and precise despite its famously harrowed production, The Offer is amateurish and messy because of the way it uses its sure-fire assets. They’re well-produced, yes, but bungled by clumsy presentation, unceasing pandering, and an otherwise underbaked plot that’s insulting when you ask yourself, “This is a legacy for The Godfather?” Based on executive producer “Albert S. Rudd...

Burna Boy Dodges Bras, Makes History at Epic Madison Square Garden Show – Rolling Stone

Burna Boy earned his metaphorical flowers — and his very literal bras — as he ripped through a majestic two-hour set at New York’s Madison Square Garden, the first Nigerian headliner to do so at the famed venue. The first fire-engine red bra was thrust onstage at the beloved Afro-fusionist early in his set as he performed “Rock Your Body,” from his breakthrough album, 2018’s Outside. By the end of the night, no less than six more had been flung at him — at one point, he hung several around his waistline like a utility belt. “Burna is so cool, yo!” shouted a male fan as Burna hulked down his lengthy runway, fenced by sharp strobes, to “Gbona” from his seminal title, African Giant.  The only moment of relative stillness from the audience came as they intently took in a new song samp...

Kateryna Kon | Science Photo Library | Science Photo Library | Getty Images U.S. health officials said adenovirus may have caused an outbreak of severe hepatitis that afflicted nine children in Alabama in February. All nine kids with severe acute hepatitis, three of whom suffered liver failure, tested positive for adenovirus and none of them had a history Covid-19 infection, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "At this time, we believe adenovirus may be the cause for these reported cases, but other potential environmental and situational factors are still being investigated," the CDC said in a statement. "Adenovirus t...

Marvels latest Multiverse of Madness teaser introduces the Illuminati – The Verge

There’s only one week left until Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness drops, but rather than waiting for news to spread by word of mouth, Marvel’s just dropped a new teaser featuring a cameo that might change the future of the MCU. Benedict Cumberbatch’s Steven Strange headlines Marvel Studios’ upcoming Multiverse of Madness, but he isn’t the only heavy hitter slated to make an appearance in the movie. Both the Scarlet Witch and America Chavez will somehow factor into the second Doctor Strange film’s story about the entire MCU collapsing in on itself — an event that’s raised more than a few questions about the narrative territory Marvel’s journeying into. While Multiverse of Madness’ newest teaser doesn’t explain what’s happened to the multiverse or how Steven’s involved, ...

Jeffrey Dean Morgan Slams “Toxic” Fans After Melissa McBride Exits ‘The Walking Dead’ Spinoff – Deadline

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has a few words to say to fans who didn’t like hearing the news about Melissa McBride’s exit from the planned spinoff of The Walking Dead. Apparently, some of the more vocal watchers of the AMC drama placed the blame squarely on TWD star Norman Reedus, who is set to star in the untitled spinoff. “Some of you have gone WAY too far,” he wrote on Twitter late Thursday. “Attacking Norm for crap he has NOTHING to do with? Melissa made a call that was hers alone. She wants/needs a break. Respect that. Factors involved that are nobody’s business. Norm, who’s given more than anyone to you all. Just SHITTY.” Some of you have gone WAY too far. TOXIC. Attacking norm for crap he has NOTHING to do with? Melissa made a call that was hers alone. She wants/needs a bre...
