Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel switch late-night shows for April Fools prank – New York Post

Late-night TV hosts Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel swapped talk shows and networks in an elaborate April Fool’s Day prank on Friday. it was a confusing tale of two Jimmys for audiences after Fallon flew to Hollywood to host “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC, while Kimmel sat in for Fallon on NBC’s “The Tonight Show.” Fallon and Kimmel sat at each other’s desks and did some of each other’s recurring bits as part of the epic switcheroo, which was a complete surprise to the shocked studio audiences at 30 Rock and the El Capitan Entertainment Centre. The Roots remained in New York to warm up the crowd for Kimmel, whose sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez stayed in Tinseltown to serve up Fallon with punchlines. “I love being here in New York. I want to tell you about this cra...

COVID-19: Heres what experts say to expect as BA.2 omicron subvariant spreads across Florida – Palm Beach Post

Support local journalism. Become an all-access digital subscriber to any of our Florida publications. As the so-called “stealth omicron” coronavirus subvariant fuels another wave of infections across Florida and the nation, medical experts expect it to be milder than the surges that preceded it. This week, for the first time in months, Florida recorded an increase in new weekly COVID-19 cases, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported. But most Americans are vaccinated against the disease or have been infected by the omicron variant. For those reasons, experts say, the BA.2 subvariant fueling the current rise of infections should not lead to big spikes of hospitalizations and deaths. Florida logged 10,137 more COVID-19 infections in the week ended Thursday, the CDC repo...

WWE SmackDown recap & reactions (April 1, 2022): Going to WrestleMania – Cageside Seats

This was the WrestleMania go home episode of Friday Night SmackDown, dubbed “WrestleMania SmackDown,” and neither WWE Champion Brock Lesnar nor Universal Champion Roman Reigns appeared live and in person. Instead, we got a video package, which was admittedly good (“All Nightmare Long” by Metallica was a nice music choice, shout out to Triple H), but the absence of a strong go home angle in favor of a Happy Corbin segment with Drew McIntyre’s sword in the main event of this show felt strange to say the least. It was downright bizarre. I suppose the idea was to bring across how important they still deem McIntyre to be, and what the future likely holds for him, but I just can’t see any real justification for not closing this show with the big names or, hell, even having them appear...

Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Will Smith resigns from Academy after slapping Chris Rock at Oscars – The Independent

Will Smith has resigned from the Oscars Academy following an incident during which he slapped comedian Chris Rock. The actor had been facing disciplinary action such as possible expulsion or suspension from the Academy. Instead, he has chosen to resign. In a statement, Smith called his actions “shocking, painful and inexcusable” and said he will accept any “further consequences” the Academy may still decide on. “The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home,” Smith’s statement continued. “I betrayed the trust of the Academy. I deprived other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate and be celebrated for their extraordinary work. I am heartbroken.” Smi...
