7 Sneaky Signs Of Testicular Cancer – HuffPost

Testicular cancer isn’t an anomaly. It’s the most diagnosed cancer in men ages 30 to 39, with the average age of detection around 33. “About 1 in 250 men develop testis cancer every year, which leads to about 9,990 new cases in the United States each year,” explained Dr. Christopher Sweeney, a medical oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and a global cancer advisory committee member for Movember. Testicular cancer is highly treatable when diagnosed before reaching advanced stages, and like most cancers, early detection is key in helping to combat it. That’s why physicians recommend that men familiarize themselves with the symptoms and perform routine self-exams. “If detected early, cure rates can exceed 95% for most versions of testicular cancer,” said Dr. Doug Flora, executive med...

Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Exercise and weight-loss are key to combating crippling arthritis, health watchdog says – Daily Mail

Arthritis patients will be told by the NHS to lose weight and exercise as the main therapies for their condition under new clinical guidelines. Physical activity is a better option for relieving pain caused by osteoarthritis than painkillers such as paracetamol, the health watchdog says. Moving millions of patients with the condition onto an exercise regime could save billions of pounds of NHS cash by slashing the number of prescriptions for stronger painkillers, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice) notes. Starting exercise programmes may briefly make the pain worse but this should settle down. More than 10million people in the UK have arthritis. Osteoarthritis, which causes joints to become stiff and sore, is the most common form of the condition, affecting 8.5m. ...

Astroworld documentary maker says Travis Scott should be in jail – Page Six

Rapper Travis Scott belongs behind bars says the filmmaker of a new documentary about the Astroworld tragedy, “Concert Crush.” “Travis Scott to me is a punk,” self-described  “victim-driven” documentary filmmaker Charlie Minn tells Page Six. “In my opinion, he is a criminal. Ten people died. How do we get around that?” Four hundred lawsuits against Scott, Live Nation and others involved in Astroworld have been combined into one civil case representing nearly 2,800 victims. They have been accused of negligence. Prior to the suits being combined, both Scott and Live Nation had denied allegations. Scott’s November concert led to 10 deaths — with victims ranging in age from 9 to 27 —  and numerous injuries when the crowd surged. “The reason he d...
