Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Snacks Are Snacks, but They Can Also Be Dinner

Meat-free cooking can be found in many forms of media, be it faux carnitas recipes hitting the endless scroll of Pinterest to thoughtful discourse ping-ponging around Twitter. For Lukas Volger, a prolific recipe developer, cookbook author, and guy who once wrote about farting in these very pages, the way to a mostly plant-based diet is through snacks—for dinner. His new book, Snacks for Dinner: Small Bites, Full Plates, Can’t Lose, offers an exciting collection of recipes fit for an entertaining dinnertime, be it for guests or a solo affair. There’s a call to marinate oyster mushrooms in walnut oil and a suggestion to fold beer cheese into a batch of gougères. Volger invites readers to serve orange juice and club soda (along with Angostura bitte...

‘Black-ish’ Star Anthony Anderson Didn’t Expect to Be So Emotional While Filming Final Episode: “I Lost It” – Hollywood Reporter

Tracee Ellis Ross isn’t the only black-ish star who became emotional while filming the final season of the ABC comedy series. Anderson opened up about filming the eighth and final season of the show, which airs its series finale April 19, in an interview airing on Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Asked if he cried, Anderson replied: “I did. I didn’t cry as much as Tracee Ellis Ross, though. She cried every day.” He said he was not expecting to be so emotional. “Actually the last day I think I cried a little bit more than [Ross] did, and I didn’t think it was going to hit me the way that it did,” he said. “Because we had been working up to that moment — we knew what the last day was. John Oliver makes fun of Dr. Oz complaining about the price of crudité a year after surfing in Italy – Raw Story

"Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver opened his Sunday show by talking about former President Donald Trump announcing his support for Mehmet Oz in the Pennsylvania Republican Senate primary. Oliver began with a crack about Oz living in New Jersey and taping his show directly across the studio from his. After building an alligator flipping someone off, he placed the statue in the hallway to face Oz's office for a not-so-subtle message. There was then a video of Oz shopping at what he said was Wegner's, which is a store in Mifflinburg, PA. At first, it sounded like perhaps he mispronounced Wegman's, which is all over Pennsylvania. As it turns out, Oliver explained it was actually Redner's, which is on the sign above his head. Either way, Oz explained his wife wanted to make "crudité" so ...
