Russian Filmmakers and Other Artists Face Boycotts Over Ukraine – The New York Times

The Russian filmmaker Kirill Sokolov has spent the past week distraught at the horror unfolding in Ukraine. Half his family is Ukrainian, he said in a telephone interview, and as a child he spent summers there, staying with his grandparents. Yet despite his antiwar stance, Mr. Sokolov on Monday learned that the Glasgow Film Festival in Scotland had dropped his latest movie, “No Looking Back.” A spokeswoman for the festival said in an email tha...

Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

32 “Love Is Blind” Season 2 Behind-The-Scenes Facts, Straight From The Cast Itself – BuzzFeed

Jarrette told us, "A lot of the cast, we still talk and hang out. I think the last time I saw [Mallory] was Friendsgiving, back in November. But there's no beef, there's no hard feelings or anything like that. I wish her nothing but the best. I'm happily married, and I'm happy with my choice." Iyanna then added, "I've spoken to Mallory several times since then. At some point, she went on with her relationship, and then we went on with ours. It wasn't really an issue anymore by the time we got to the wedding. Then, after everything wrapped up, we realized us girls needed to lean on each other — because there's just so much to process and cope with. Everyone's pretty cordial."

And here I am unable to fly home. That to me was the biggest sort of moment of understanding like you're in trouble," Chmerkovskiy said in his first interview since his return to Los Angeles, California. The 42-year-old was born in Ukraine but also has citizenship in the United States. He said that while he's since reunited with his wife Peta Murgatroyd and his kids afte...
