‘Elvis’ Trailer: Yes, That Is Austin Butler Singing in Baz Luhrmann’s Biopic About the King of Rock and Roll – Hollywood Reporter

The first trailer for Elvis has arrived, and yes, that really is star Austin Butler singing in the Presley role. Prior to the trailer’s release, filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and Butler pulled back the curtain and discussed their work on the glitzy and intense biographical musical during a virtual press conference. The director made it clear that the film would be solely a theatrical release. The Warner Bros. picture will explore the late Presley’s life in three sections; Luhrmann called the king of rock ‘n’ roll’s tale a “great canvas to explore America.” Elvis took more than two years to make due to the pandemic. Co-star Tom Hanks made international headlines in March 2020 when he became among the first major stars to announce they had contracted coronavirus, which oc...

Scientists pinpoint mechanisms associated with severe COVID-19 blood clotting – National Institutes of Health

Media Advisory Thursday, February 17, 2022 What After studying blood samples from 244 patients hospitalized for COVID-19, a group of researchers, including those who work at the National Institutes of Health, identified “rogue antibodies” that correlate with severe illness and may help explain mechanisms associated with severe blood clotting. The researchers found circulating antiphospholipid antibodies, which can be more common among people with autoimmune disorders, such as lupus. However, these “autoantibodies,” which target a person’s own organs and systems, can also be activated in response to viral infections and activate other immune responses.  ...

Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Yellowstone star Forrie J Smith says he WONT attend upcoming SAG Awards due to jab mandate – Daily Mail

Yellowstone actor Forrie J Smith has revealed he will not be attending next week's SAG Awards because he doesn't believe in vaccines and hasn't had a COVID shot. Smith, 62, who stars in the smash-hit Paramount Television drama, broke the news to his fans that he'll be shunning the February 27 event in Santa Monica over fears having a vaccine could destroy his immune system. 'I want to apologize to y'all for not being at the Screen Actors Guild Awards,' the married father-of-one said in a video posted on his Instagram account. 'I mean no offense to anyone. I'm not vaccinated, and it's a requirement to be vaccinated.'  Anyone attending the LA Awards must have had their full-COVID vaccine, as well as a booster and a negative COVID test. Safety-obsessed bosses say participants must wear an N9...

Netflix reveals Stranger Things season 4 release dates, final season – Polygon

After disappearing for nearly three years, Stranger Things is finally coming back for its fourth season. Season 4 will be broken into two separate volumes, with the first arriving on May 27 and the second coming out on July 1, the show’s creators announced Thursday. The announcement also included a few more tidbits about the show, including the fact that the fifth season will be the last one in the series ... but it won’t be the last story in the Stranger Things universe. All these announcements came directly from Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, the creators of Stranger Things, in an open letter to fans. Season 4 includes “nine scripts” and is the biggest and longest season in the show’s history so far, which is part of why the Duffers decided to split it in half, they said. One thing ...
