India Arie says shes pulling her music from Spotify over Joe Rogans comments on race – CNN

The R&B singer said in an Instagram post that Rogan's "language around race" was "problematic," referring to a recent interview on Rogan's podcast in which he made offensive comments about African nations and said it was "weird" to use the term "Black" as an identifier. "Neil Young opened a door that I MUST walk through," Arie wrote on Monday. Other artists who've voiced support for Young include his former bandmates David Crosby and Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Variety reported Tuesday that Nash requested that his solo recordings be removed from the platform. Since Crosby sold the rights to his music, he can't control whether it's removed from Spotify. Arie said in her post that while she believes in freedom of speech, she finds Rogan "problematic for ...

SEAL Team Renewed for Season 6 at Paramount Plus – TVLine

Bravo Team has not fought its last fight. Paramount+ has renewed the David Boreanaz-led SEAL Team for a sixth  season, it was announced on Tuesday — a little over a week after the release of a satisfying-yet-ultimately explosive Season 5 finale. Network execs speaking at the Television Critics Association winter press tour confirmed that the renewal is for just 10 episodes (vs. Season 5’s 14), though this was not announced as a final season. SEAL Team‘s Jan. 23 season-ender — rife as it was with closure and big personal moments for most every character — could have been mistaken for a fine series finale, save for the closing sequence that rained RPG missiles down on a pinned-down Bravo in Mali. David Boreanaz, though, said that the episode was not at all designed to possibly wra...

U.S. Covid fatalities reach highest level in a year as omicron cases subside – CNBC

The ChristianaCare health system in Wilmington, Delaware, implemented "crisis standards of care" for the first time in its 130-year history last month as a fresh wave of Covid-19 infections ripped through the Northeastern U.S. That gives the organization's three hospitals, which have more than 1,200 beds, flexibility to treat more than one patient in private rooms and reschedule critical procedures to meet the onslaught of Covid cases. "There's nothing mild about what's going on in our hospital and in our ICUs, particularly if you are unvaccinated or unboosted," said Dr. Ken Silverstein, the chief physician executive of ChristianaCare. Silverstein was alluding to reports that the highly contagious omicron variant produces milder infections than previous strains. A shortag...

Joe Rogan is getting support after saying he can do better on his podcast ... but some celebs still aren't buying it. The Rock was more than good with Joe's mea culpa, saying, "Great stuff here brother. Perfectly articulated. Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you." Kelly Slater echoed the sentiment ... "Love to see you offer to bring on Neil Young and/or Joni Mitchell on with whoever they want by their side to refute whatever it is they're so pissed about. If they're for truth it should be an easy convo. I'll be looking forward to their replies if so...

This Morning viewers slam Disney for suggesting theyll ditch the Seven Dwarfs in Snow White remake – Daily Mail

Dwarf actors have continued to criticise Peter Dinklage for labelling Disney's Snow White remake as 'backwards' - as they suggest he is 'taking away dream roles' from little people.  Dylan Postl, who played Hornswoggle the leprechaun in WWE for 10 years and has also acted in The Muppets, appeared on ITV's This Morning via video link today to discuss Dinklage's recent complaints. Dinklage criticised Disney for remaking the 1937 film, questioning: 'Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soap box? I guess I'm not loud enough.'
