Today Show anchor Hoda Kotb might have shocked some viewers about the end of her eight-year relationship with fiancé Joel Schiffman, but her calm explanation might reveal how mature the couple was in handling their differences. The fact that they were able to realize the path forward as husband and wife wasn’t the right one for them, demonstrates that not every partnership is for life. Foundation Adds 10 Characters for Season 2, and Most of Them Are Entirely New – Gizmodo

Image: Apple TV Apple TV+’s loose adaptation of the classic Foundation sci-fi novels has just gotten a little looser. Ten new actors have been added to the cast to play 10 new characters on the show—and six of them appear to be very new, having not appeared in any of Isaac Asimov’s seven Foundation novels. I’ve written off the TV series and thus refuse to get further upset about how it mangles the source material, but I think it is... interesting to see how much further Foundation is willing to deviate from its infamously difficult-to-adapt source material. Here are the actors, characters, and quick bios, all courtesy of Apple TV+: Dimitri Leonidas as Hober Mallow: “A master trader with a sarcastic personality and questionable morals, who is summoned against his will to serve a high...

Fate is certainly on Simon Cowell’s side as he survived another e-bike accident and an onlooker said he’s ‘lucky to be alive.’ Simon Cowell, 62, tested fate once again during a gnarly e-bike crash. Simon drove over a wet patch as his electric motor was on which caused the wheels to go out from under him. The collision caused the America’s Got Talent judge to fly over the handlebars of his bike at 20 mph and land in the middle of the road. “Simon is lucky to be alive,” an onlooker told The Sun. “Stupidly, Simon wasn’t wearing a helmet, and blood was pouring from his face — he looked like something from Phantom of the Opera.” Simon Cowell on his e-bike. (MEGA)Fortunately, three bystanders got involved and stopped oncoming traffic from running the reality TV competition ...

A Man Chopped Off His Penis With Scissors in a Fit of Cannabis-Induced Psychosis, Doctors Say – Gizmodo

Photo: SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY via AP Images (AP) A man in Thailand’s bong session went disastrously wrong, according to his doctors. In a new case report, they describe how he “completely amputated his penis” using scissors, apparently due to a rare episode of cannabis-induced psychosis. Though the man’s delusional symptoms faded after being admitted to the hospital and his injuries were treated, doctors weren’t able to reattach the lost appendage. The bizarre injury was detailed in a paper published over the weekend in the Journal of Medical Case Reports by doctors from Chiang Mai University in Thailand. The 23-year-old man had reportedly been a regular cannabis user for the past two years but had stopped for the preceding three months. He then got back into his habit by smoking two b...

Adele announces first performance since postponing Vegas residency: I’m really happy – Fox News

Adele is preparing to take to the stage once again. The 33-year-old songstress made headlines last month when she was forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency just a day before it was set to begin. In the weeks since, fans have wondered when they'll next get to see the "Easy On Me" singer perform. Adele answered that very question on Tuesday, taking to social media to share that she will take the stage at the BRIT Awards on Feb. 8. "Hiya, so I’m really happy to say that I am performing at the Brits next week!!" she tweeted alongside a blurred image of herself beaming. Adele is nominated for four BRIT Awards this year. White House urges Spotify to take further action on Joe Rogan: ‘More can be done’ – The Independent

White House press secretary Jen Psaki called on music and podcast streaming giant Spotify to do “more” in the fight against Covid-19 misinformation on Tuesday. At her daily press briefing, President Joe Biden’s top spokeswoman was asked about a decision by the company to add disclaimers linking to Covid-19 information hubs to any piece of content that includes discussion of the pandemic, vaccines, or Covid-19 itself. She responded that the change was a good step, but that the company could take steps (if it wanted) to actively prohibit content that contained misinformation that experts have warned is prolonging the pandemic and leading to more deaths. Ms Psaki said that it was the responsibility of all companies and particularly that of those platforms where Americans get their news to...
