Prince Charles Thanked The Queen For Giving Her Blessing For Camilla To Become “Queen Consort” – BuzzFeed News

In February 1952, then-Princess Elizabeth arrived in Kenya on an official visit. She left as Queen. With the death of her father, King George VI, back in London, Elizabeth automatically assumed the throne, beginning a reign that has, as of Sunday, lasted a historic seven decades. The Queen is the first British monarch to ever celebrate her so-called Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years on the throne. In that time, 14 prime ministers have led the British government. On Sunday, Buckingham Palace released a new photo of the 95-year-old queen to commemorate her jubilee, showing her smiling beside a portrait of her late father and next to one of the red boxes in which she receives briefing papers.

Joe Rogan apologizes after a compilation of him using racial slurs spreads – CNN

Rogan used the word more than 20 times in the clips from different podcast episodes, which he said were compiled over a span of 12 years. In his apology, Rogan said it's the "most regretful and shameful thing" he has ever had to address publicly. "I know that to most people, there's no context where a White person is ever allowed to say that, never mind publicly on a podcast, and I agree with that," he said. "Now, I haven't said it in years," Rogan added. Rogan also addressed a video of him comparing a Black neighborhood to a Planet of the Apes movie. "I certainly would never want to offend someone for entertainment with something as stupid as racism," he said. Now Spotify, one of the biggest streaming services in the world, is under intense pressure because it is the exclusiv...

On Spotify, Joe Rogan podcast episodes removed as host apologizes for racial slur – The Washington Post

Saad said that he did not remember the conversation in full but that he recalled telling Rogan about a university dean getting fired after recommending a book with the n-word in the title — one, Saad said, that had been written by a Black civil rights activist. “If you’re using the n-word to describe a title, as told to you by a guest on your show, then maybe Spotify should have the most minimal of functioning brain and say, ‘That doesn’t seem to violate anything,’” Saad said in a video.

We asked healthcare professionals about their face masks of choice for everyday use – Salon

New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported Friday emphasizes the importance of wearing the right mask while in a high-risk setting. According to the data, surgical masks reduce the risk of testing positive for COVID-19 by 66 percent. More effective masks, like N95 and KN95 masks, decrease the risk of infection by 83 percent. A KN95 filters 95 percent of particles, and so does an N95. A KF94 filters 94 percent of particles. The difference between the letters is the government standard certification.
