This is a political hit job. They’re taking all this stuff I’ve ever said that’s wrong and smushing it all together. It’s good because it makes me address some stuff that I really wish wasn’t out there.” Rogan also pushed back on right-wing criticisms of his recent apology video, noting, “You should apologize if you regret something. COVID-19 Statistics | Feb. 8, 2022 – Lost Coast Outpost

Humboldt County Public Health reported today the death of a resident in their 50s due to COVID-19. Staff in the Department Operations Center extend their condolences to all who have lost a loved one to the virus. One new hospitalization, a resident in their 30s, was reported. Thirty-five new cases were also reported, and an additional 43 cases were removed from the case count. Because Public Health counts people and not tests, staff conduct ongoing manual de-duplication efforts to make sure a person who has received more than one test is being counted only once. The total number of confirmed positive cases of the virus in the county stands at 18,192. Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday that he will let a statewide indoor mask mandate expire next week for people who have been vaccinated agains...

Robert Pattinson: ‘The Batman’ Opening Shot Is ‘So Jarring’ and Feels Unlike Any Other ‘Batman’ Movie – Variety

Robert Pattinson guarantees comic book movie fans will know Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” is unlike any other Batman movie ever made as soon as they see the opening shot. Reeves’ nearly-three hour Caped Crusader epic is inspired by New Hollywood classics from the 1970s, including “Taxi Driver,” “The Conversation” and “Chinatown.” Pattinson told GQ magazine that viewers will feel these inspirations from the movie’s first frame. “I watched a rough cut of the movie by myself. And the first shot is so jarring from any other Batman movie that it’s just kind of a totally different pace,” Pattinson said. “It was what Matt was saying from the first meeting I had with him: ‘I want to do a ’70s noir detective story, like “The Conversation.”‘ And I kind of assumed that meant the mood board or ...
