Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Joe Rogan is unstoppable after confronting cancel culture: Concha – Fox News

Fox News contributor Joe Concha told "Jesse Watters Primetime" on Friday that Joe Rogan is "bigger than ever" after confronting cancel culture. JOE CONCHA: That is one hundred percent the playbook: Never back down, never apologize, go forward and believe in free speech. … Meanwhile, here's how the scoreboard is going. Eleven million people listen to Joe Rogan on a daily basis. CNN international brand, 42 years with thousands of employees, is watched by less than 500,000 viewers. Now here's what all this effort to cancel Joe Rogan has resulted in. He's bigger than ever. He's more powerful than ever, and all the press he's received good, bad, ugly has only resulted in more people like me who really never listen to Joe Rogan's podcast before now checking him out on a daily basis. … Rush ...

Long COVID symptoms: Can you develop new symptoms months later? – Deseret News

About one-third of COVID-19 patients often suffered a new COVID-19 symptom months later, another sign of the damaging effects of long COVID-19. The news: A new study published in the medical journal The BMJ found that 32 out of every 100 older adults infected with COVID-19 in 2020 developed one new COVID-19 symptom that required medical attention in the months after infection. Why this matters: “Studies examining the frequency and severity of new conditions (sequelae) after COVID-19 infection have started to emerge, but few have described the excess risk of new conditions triggered by COVID-19 infection in older adults,” according to a press release on the study. Symptoms: Some of the developed symptoms include changes to their organs and systems, including heart, kidneys, l...

Kevin Smith Says ‘Spider-Man’ Snub Proves Why No One Watches Oscars: ‘Make a Populist Choice’ – Variety

Kevin Smith isn’t happy with the Academy for snubbing “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in the best picture race. Despite earning critical acclaim and being one of the highest-grossing films ever made with over $750 million in the U.S. and over $1.7 billion globally, the latest “Spider-Man” film earned just a single Oscar nomination. The film will compete in the visual effects race. Not even the Academy expanding the best picture category to 10 nominees was enough to get “Spider-Man: No Way Home” a nomination for the Oscars’ biggest prize. “What the fuck?” Smith said on his FatMan Beyond podcast this week (via IndieWire). “They got 10 slots, they can’t give one to the biggest fucking movie of like the last three years?” Smith continued, “Man, and they’re like, ‘Why won’t anyone w...

Bob Saget’s Autopsy Report Describes Severe Skull Fractures – The New York Times

Some neurosurgeons said that it would be unusual for a typical fall to cause Mr. Saget’s set of fractures — to the back, the right side and the front of his skull. Those doctors said that the injuries appeared more reminiscent of ones suffered by people who fall from a considerable height or get thrown from their seat in a car crash. The autopsy, though, found no injuries to other parts of Mr. Saget’s body, as would be expected in a lengthier fall. The medical examiner ruled that the death was accidental. The local sheriff’s office had previously said there were no signs of foul play. “This is significant trauma,” said Dr. Gavin Britz, the chair in neurosurgery at Houston Methodist. “This is something I find with someone with a baseball bat to the head, or who has fallen from 20 or 30 fee...
