Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Killing Eve’s final season rights itself and makes Eve the star again – The Verge

Killing Eve, a show about a stylish assassin hunted by a frumpy MI6 agent, made it easy to fall a little in love with a serial killer. Vibrant clothes, a bumping soundtrack, and a coy smile from Villanelle made it hard not to smile even as she graphically murdered her way across Europe, taking glib satisfaction in the creativtity of her kills. As much fun as this was, it was also a problem, as by Killing Eve’s third season, the show had excessively minimized the titular character’s screen time to wallow in the winsome depravity of its villain. Now in season 4 Eve, played by Sandra Oh, is once again the focus of the show, and its so much better for it. What made Killing Eve’s first season so compelling was how focused it was on Eve (Sandra Oh). Villanelle (Jodie Comer) was like butte...

Meghan Markle breaks silence amid speculations about her and Harrys new honour – Geo News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have won the NAACP’s President Award, were over the moon for new honour and expressed their feelings on the achievement. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were honoured for their distinguished public service and humanitarian work. Meghan, who was out of spotlight, also shared her words at the ceremony, saying: "We are so deeply humbled to be here in the company of so many illustrious awardees." However, royal expert Angela Levin skewered the royal couple's win on Twitter as she wrote: “Archewell Foundation partners with NSSCP have created new honour Digital Civil Rights Award which it seems Harry and Meghan have won. “Apart from creating it someone please tell me exactly what they've done not just talked about for civil rights.” Coolblackkind sai...

‘1883’ Stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Barely Got Through ‘Devastating’ Finale: We Were ‘Blubbering’ – Variety

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read if you have not watched the finale of “1883,” streaming now on Paramount Plus. Following the penultimate episode, fans of “1883” feared that the end was near for Isabel May’s Elsa Dutton — and unfortunately, they were right. Following an arrow wound to her liver, Isabel died in her dad’s (Tim McGraw) arms after an emotional goodbye to both him and her mother, Margaret (Faith Hill). The episode took the audience — and the stars — on a wrenching journey. McGraw and Hill, who are married with three daughters, opened up to Variety about how they’d take turns reading scripts aloud to each other all season. That was, until the scripts for Episodes 9 and 10 arrived and they found out about Elsa’s fate. “When we got the final two, we literally couldn’...

Gruesome Skull Discovery Contains The Earliest Evidence of Ear Surgery – ScienceAlert

An ancient skull uncovered at a 6,000-year-old megalithic monument in Spain still holds signs of what would have been a brutal ear surgery. Archaeologists suspect the patient probably had a double-sided acute middle ear infection, which can cause earaches and fevers.    Without treatment, fluid can gather behind the eardrum, possibly causing a visible lump in the skull, hearing loss, or even life-threatening inflammation of the brain's outer membrane. While now a common procedure, prior to the mid-19th century ear surgery was performed only in desperate attempts to save lives. Though some interpretations of ancient writings hint at surgical interventions as far back as the first century CE, solid evidence is hard to come by. This gruesome skull discovery suggests similar procedures c...
