Colin Farrell Went to Starbucks in His Penguin Makeup While Filming ‘The Batman’ – Yahoo Entertainment

The heavy prosthetics worn by the actor allowed him to fly under the radar. If you’ve ever wondered what The Penguin orders at Starbucks, the answer is an oat milk latte with two Stevias. Colin Farrell has attracted plenty of buzz for his upcoming role as The Penguin in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” partially due to the prosthetic-induced transformation the actor underwent. Many fans have described Farrell as “unrecognizable” after seeing him in “The Batman” trailers, and a new story proves just how true that is. While filming “The Batman,” Farrell had so much confidence in his makeup team that he decided to make a Starbucks run in his full prosthetics. He recounted the story to Collider, saying that while he received a few strange looks, he does not believe anyone recognized him a...

‘Uncharted’ Darts To $226M WW, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Tops ‘Titanic’s Original Global Run – International Box Office – Deadline

Refresh for latest…: Sony’s Uncharted handily crossed the $200M mark globally this weekend, after adding $35M from 64 overseas markets and $23.3M domestically. The international box office cume is now $143M. Worldwide, the Tom Holland/Mark Wahlberg-starrer counts $226.4M. Sony Sony also boasts another milestone of sorts with another Holland-starrer as Spider-Man: No Way Home reached $1.85B worldwide to surpass the original 1997/1998 global run of Titanic ($1.84B, unadjusted). While Uncharted held strongly, and other existing pictures also hit new milestones, it was generally a fairly quiet weekend at the international box office with no major newcomers and as anticipation is high for The Batman to begin next session. We also hear that moviegoing was off an average...

“SNL” Paid Tribute To The Ukrainian People With A Poignant Cold Open – BuzzFeed News

Instead of its usual comedic cold open, Saturday Night Live led this week's show with a solemn choral rendition of the song, “Prayer for Ukraine.” After the Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York finished their touching performance, SNL cast members Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong delivered the show's catchphrase, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night," in a more subdued tone than normal. They stood behind candles spelling out Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The hymn, written in 1885, became an anthem during Ukraine's war for independence. Its lyrics begin with “Lord, oh the Great and Almighty, Protect our beloved Ukraine, Bless her with freedom and light,” according to one translation. The Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York is made up of non-professional singers who perform cl...

Detroit Zoo moves birds inside due to Avian Influenza concerns – CNN

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development confirmed Thursday avian influenza virus was identified in a backyard flock of non-poultry birds in Kalamazoo County, which is about 140 miles west of Detroit. Similar infections have been reported across the United States in recent weeks. "This is an important preventative measure," said Dr. Ann Duncan, director of animal health for the DZS. "By bringing these animals indoors, we can more closely monitor them and prevent contact with wild birds who may be carriers" of the virus. The virus can infect several species of birds, according to the World Organization for Animal Health (OiE), including poultry. New cases of bird flu have appeared in more than 40 countries over the ...

Bucatini all’Amatriciana Recipe

A Classic Roman Dish - Bucatini all'Amatriciana Like many of you, Meg and I watched the Stanley Tucci special on CNN called Searching for Italy. In the Rome episode, he has lunch at Armando Al Pantheon to enjoy their famous rigatoni all'amatriciana, one of Rome's famous pastas. I made it a little different and call it bucatini all'Amatriciana. Of course I had to run out and buy the ingredients so we could make it at home. Not a lot of ingredients and very simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Let's look at some of the ingredients. Bucatini Bucatini is a pasta that looks a lot like spaghetti but it is thicker and has a whole running down through the strand. My kids like to say it looks like a straw made out of pasta.  If you lived in Naples, Italy, you would call...

Kanye West not official with Kim Kardashian look-alike Chaney Jones – Page Six

Kanye West might have been drawn to his latest fling, Chaney Jones, “because of her similarities” to estranged ex Kim Kardashian, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to commit. The “Donda” rapper, 44, has been romancing the Kardashian look-alike for a couple of weeks, but the pair isn’t official just yet, TMZ reports. Sources told the outlet that their relationship was “all for fun” and he was “undeniably drawn to” Jones because of the resemblance she bore to the reality star. Reps for West did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. The duo first sparked romance rumors after his split from “Uncut Gems” actress, Julia Fox earlier this month. He and Jones have been spotted at Nobu Malibu together and she attended his live “Don...

Saturday Night Live, Hosted by John Mulaney, Pays Tribute to Ukraine – The New York Times

This weekend, “Saturday Night Live” faced two questions of significantly different orders of magnitude: Would the show try to find topical humor in the Russian invasion of Ukraine? And, of far less importance to the global order, but still a noteworthy matter within the “S.N.L.” realm: How would it address the return of John Mulaney? To answer the first question, the show avoided an opening comedy sketch altogether and instead began with a performance by Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York, which sang the hymn “Prayer for Ukraine.” At the conclusion of the performance, cast members Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong took the stage behind an arrangement of candles which were shown to spell Kyiv. Then, in his opening monologue, Mulaney addressed what he acknowledged has been “a very comp...
