Mansion where Manson murders took place listed for $85M by Full House creator – New York Post

Filling this house would be no small task. “Full House” creator Jeff Franklin is selling his massive Beverly Hills estate for a whopping $85 million.  Eerily enough, the home is where the Manson murders famously took place. It is also where Franklin hosted the reception for Bob Saget following the late comedian’s funeral on Saturday.  Known as “The Cielo Estate,” the nine-bedroom, 18-bathroom abode was first purchased by Franklin in 2007 for just $6 million. He would live in the home until he relocated to Miami last year.  When Franklin, 66, purchased the property, it was not yet completed. The initial home on the land was demolished following the 1969 murders of actress Sharon Tate, Folger coffee heiress Abigail Folger, celebrity hairstylist Jay Seb...

Covid-19 Coverage View more stories Even before their rollout, a distinct feature of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines has been their "reactogenicity"—that is, their tendency to cause mild symptoms that signal immune responses firing up after a shot, particularly the second one. As vaccine supplies were unleashed in the US last year, families, friends, and coworkers swapped stories of their harrowing post-jab days, often recalling fevers, chills, fatigue, and general crumminess. Although those experiences are unquestionably real, their connection to the vaccines may not be. As more and more results from randomized-controlled vaccine tria...

How does Omicron spread so fast? A high viral load isnt the answer – Nature.com

Now, two studies show that the variant has achieved success despite causing viral levels in the body that are similar to — or lower than — those of its main competitor, the Delta variant1,2. The results suggest that Omicron’s hyper-transmissibility does not stem from the release of large amounts of virus from infected people. Instead, the best explanation for its lightning-fast spread is its ability to evade SARS-CoV-2 immunity caused by either vaccination or past infection, says Em...

Vogues Anna Wintour pays tribute to André Leon Talley, calling his loss immeasurable – CNN

Written by Jacqui Palumbo, CNN Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has called the loss of André Leon Talley "immeasurable," after the trailblazing fashion journalist and former Vogue creative director died Tuesday, at the age of 73. The fashion icon, known for his billowing silhouettes, booming voice and candor, was the first Black man to ascend the ranks at Vogue, becoming one of the most influential figures in an industry where few Black creatives have held top roles. He had a longtime close relationship with Wintour that had seemingly fractured in recent years, and was the subject of debate when he released his memoir, "The Chiffon Trenches", last year. "The loss of André is felt by so many of us today: the designers he enthusiastically cheered on every season, and who loved him fo...

Rosengart yesterday claimed that his client would 'go high for the time being' and refrain from making any further remarks in their ugly feud, but Britney has now doubled down on her family grievances. Memory problems seen months after mild COVID-19 infections, researchers say | TheHill – The Hill

People who experienced mild COVID-19 infections demonstrated attention and memory issues, but those problems appeared to be only temporary, according to a new study published on Wednesday. Researchers from Oxford University studied 136 people, comprised of both individuals who had contracted COVID-19 and those who had not. When it came to looking at factors such as sleep patterns, fatigue and anxiety, the participants included in the study who previously had COVID-19 did not differ significantly from their control group counterparts.  All of them were asked to perform 12 different cognitive tasks, including ones on object memory, spatial span and motor control. The findings of the study showed that “COVID-19 survivors showed a significant reduction in their ability to sustain a...
