Evangeline Lilly says she attended the anti-vaccine mandate rally where Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke – CNN

The "Ant-Man and the Wasp" star, in an Instagram post, said she attended the rally to "support bodily sovereignty" and that she believes "nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under the threat of ..." and listed several phrases, including loss of employment and violent attack. "I was pro choice before COVID and I am still pro choice today," she said, adding hashtags including "#medicalfreedom," "#bodilyautonomy" and "#defeatthemandatesdc." Lilly did not reference Kennedy's comments in her post. During the event, Kennedy, a longtime vaccine opponent, compared Covid-19 vaccine requirements in the US to conditions in Nazi Germany and said people living under Nazi rule "could hide in an attic, like Anne Frank did." (Kennedy later apolog...

How to Handle Menopause Symptoms While Working – The New York Times

At home, women also have more time and space to compose themselves after experiencing something emotionally triggering. Mood-related issues — which affect about 40 percent of women in perimenopause — can pose problems at work. “I’ll have patients tell me, ‘It’s really impacting not only my personal relationships, but my professional career, too, because I am responding in a way that I would not have before, and it’s not appropriate,’” said Dr. Monica Christmas, the director of the Center for Women’s Integrated Health at UChicago Medicine. Menopause can also affect women’s sleep, and the ensuing exhaustion can lead to mood swings, too. Symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats can drastically reduce how much sleep women get at night, with sleep loss affecting an estimated 40 to 60 perc...

Evangeline Lilly Joined RFK Jr.’s Insane Anti-Vax Rally — and Bragged About It – Rolling Stone

Nearly two years after Evangeline Lilly caused an uproar after revealing — at the onset of the Covid-19 outbreak — that she refused to self-quarantine, the Lost actress is once again facing a backlash after attending Robert F. Kennedy’s anti-vaccination march this past weekend in Washington, D.C. Yup, the same march at which RFK called vaccine mandates “a coup d’etat to democracy” and likened vaccine passports to slavery — with a reference to Hitler and Anne Frank for good measure. In an Instagram post-Thursday, the Canada-born Lilly revealed that she went to the event to “support bodily sovereignty” as well as in solidarity with the convoy of Canadian truckers driving toward Ottawa in protest of that country’s vaccine mandate. “I believe nobody should ever be forced to inject...

Minnie Mouse is trading her iconic red dress for a new look – CNN

Written by Jacqui Palumbo, CNN For the first time in her nearly century-long life, Minnie Mouse will add a pantsuit to her wardrobe. And it won't be just any old pair of tailored slacks, but an iconic silhouette from British fashion designer Stella McCartney. Though a sneak peek of Minnie's new sartorial statement hit the internet early, her full makeover will be unveiled in March to commemorate two different dates: International Women's Day and the 30th anniversary of Disneyland Paris. A press statement about the project said McCartney was chosen to create the look because of "her legacy of female leadership," as well as her commitment to sustainability. "Minnie has always had a special place in my heart," McCartney said in a press video shared with CNN. "We share the same values, and wh...

Vitamin D and fish oil supplements may help prevent autoimmune disease, study says – CNN

People age 50 and older taking 2,000 IU (International Units) of vitamin D3 for over five years had a 22% lower relative rate of confirmed autoimmune diagnoses, said study author Dr. Karen Costenbader, a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School in the division of Rheumatology, Inflammation and Immunity and the director of the lupus program at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. The study also found a possible link between taking 1,000 milligrams of omega-3 fatty acid (fish oil) and a reduction in autoimmune disorders, but the association was not statistically significant until possible cases of autoimmune disease -- not just confirmed cases -- were factored into the analysis. However, the study did find that taking both vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acid supplements, versus th...

Long COVID: 4 biological risk factors could increase chances, according to study – Fox News

Researchers say they have identified biological risk factors that could predict who is more likely to develop "long COVID."  In a study published Tuesday in the journal Cell, the U.S-based team said it had conducted a deep multiomic, longitudinal investigation of more than 200 COVID-19 patients from the point of their initial diagnosis to convalescence two to three months later.  Multiomics are where the data sets of different omic groups are combined during an analysis. Omics refers to branches of biology whose names end in -omic, like genomics. Top doctors refuse to give their own kids a third shot due to myocarditis concerns – Daily Mail

Two of the nation's top doctors said they refuse to give their own kids a covid booster shot as vaccinated teenage boys have a low risk of hospitalization, but the likelihood of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart, is higher.   Dr. Monica Gandhi, an infectious-disease specialist at the University of California, and Dr. Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a member of the FDA's vaccine advisory committee, told journalist David Zweig in a piece published on Bari Weiss's Substack, Common Sense, that the benefits of a booster for teen males are outweighed by the possible side effects.  One of the most common serious side effects for a teen from a COVID booster jab was myocarditis, a rare heart inflammation case that occurs in ma...
