MEGHAN MCCAIN: A real Housewife got fired for being vocal Republican but alleged criminals are fine – Daily Mail

To the extent that anyone can proudly call themselves a reality television connoisseur, I consider myself one - particularly of the Housewives franchise on Bravo. I've been watching most of them since their launch and have found within these shows decades worth of entertainment and escapism.  In a world dominated by hard political news and the insanity of the past several years in particular, I and millions of other viewers have found much needed respite from the darkness and chaos in our world in these mini soap operas. Am I watching them to feed my brain or have my political ideology challenged?  No. Of course not.  I watch them for the same reason generations of viewers have watched soap operas and sitcoms - for fun, entertainment, and something to gossip about with my friends and fami...

Alcohol consumption can directly cause cancer, study says – Fox News

The consumption of alcohol is a direct cause of several kinds of cancer, according to researchers.  In a recent large-scale genetic study led by Oxford Population Health and published in the International Journal of Cancer, a team from Oxford, Peking University and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing, worked to investigate gene variants linked to lower alcohol consumption in Asian populations. To do so, the team used DNA samples from more than 150,000 adults – the majority of whom were women – in the China Kadoorie Biobank study. The team measured the frequency of low-alcohol tolerability genetic variants – or alleles in Chinese and other East Asian populations that are strongly associated with lower alcohol intake – for the enzyme aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) and alc...

In a Thursday study in the agency's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, the agency said that – compared to hospitalized adults who had received two mRNA vaccine doses – the effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech and mRNA vaccines against hospitalization for patients with weak immune systems increased to 88%.  CASES OF 'STEALTH' OMICRON SUBVARIANT CONFIRMED IN NORTHEAST STATES: REPORTS For immunocompromised people who had only had two doses, or a "primary series," the vaccines were 69% effective.  The data was gathered looking at nearly 3,000 – 1,385 case-patients and 1,...

John David Duggar, the former "19 Kids and Counting" star, is breaking his silence over the terrifying plane crash he was involved in last year. The pilot, who is 32, was operating a Piper PA-30 aircraft registered to Medic Choppers, LLC, on Oct. 29, 2021, when the plane went down in Waverly, Tennessee, around 7:13 p.m. local time, according to a preliminary accident report from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) obtained by Fox News Digital Wednesday.  Duggar serves as director of business for the Medic Corps nonprofit organization tasked with deploying aircraft and emergency medical care during mass casualty incidents. Are nausea and vomiting omicron symptoms? – WJW FOX 8 News Cleveland

(NEXSTAR) – The most common symptoms of the omicron variant of COVID-19 look and feel a lot like a cold or a flu: runny nose, headache, fatigue, sneezing and sore throat. But there are lesser known symptoms people are also reporting when they test positive for the virus, like itchy eyes, night sweats, nausea and vomiting. Nausea and vomiting are both listed as COVID-19 symptoms by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but the gastrointestinal symptoms are less common than respiratory symptoms. Mega Millions’ jackpot hit; Ohio winner takes another big prize Of the 43 first omicron cases the CDC confirmed and tracked in the U.S., eight people reported nausea or vomiting.
