Odunayo "Baba" Oluwalade, 25, of Baltimore County pleaded guilty on Friday to federal fraud conspiracy, the U.S. Attorney's office in Maryland announced in a news release. Oluwalade and two other men were charged with creating a fake website that had "the logo, markings, colors and texts" of the Moderna pharmaceutical company's website, the news release said. The fake website offered buyers the opportunity to purchase the vaccine "ahead of time," the release stated. Covid-19 vaccines are free, according to the CDC. Adolescents reported that they spent nearly eight hours a day in front of a screen, double their pre-pandemic estimates of nearly four hours per day, according to a study published Monday in JAMA Pediatrics. Kids' screen time did not include time spent online for virtual classes. The study focused on recreational activities like streaming, gaming, social media, texting, video chatting and surfing the web. Adolescents who reported more screen time also reported suffering in other areas of their lives, said lead study author Dr. Jason Nagata, assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of California in San Francisco.
