‘Succession’ Season 3 Is a F**king Killer – Rolling Stone

When last we left the corrosive Roy family in the Succession Season Two finale, prodigal son Kendall (Jeremy Strong) had just publicly accused cruel patriarch Logan (Brian Cox) of being complicit in their company’s pattern of heinous sexual and human rights abuse. When the HBO Emmy winner finally returns after a two-year, Covid-related absence, Logan gets Kendall on the phone to congratulate him on temporarily outmaneuvering his old man, and wonders what he wants in exchange for his renewed loyalty. Kendall insists that they are no longer on the same side, that he found Waystar Royco’s crimes abhorrent, and that he acted with the greater good in mind. His father bellows that all Kendall was doing was making a move in the never-ending, globe-altering game of mergers and acquisitions that h...

To what can 007 attribute that longevity? The ability to pull a new actor into the role every few years helps. So does the moviegoing audience’s bottomless appetite for jet-setting, high-flying stunts, and outlandish villains. Bond also en...

High cholesterol: Signs of dangerously high cholesterol levels present in your legs – Times of India

Unhealthy lifestyle habits open a wide door to multiple health concerns. One of them is high cholesterol. Cholesterol is a waxy, fatlike substance that is produced by the liver for the formation of cell membranes, vitamin D and balancing hormones. Being insoluble in water, cholesterol is transported to different parts of the body through a particle called lipoprotein, which has a specific protein on its surface. Only when cholesterol combines with the high fat and low protein content lipoprotein to form Low-density lipoproteins (LDL) then it be harmful to the body. This problem arises when your diet is rich in unhealthy fatty foods and on top of that, you live a sedentary life. The LDL starts building in the arteries, blocking and narrowing them, which over time can lead to heart attack a...

Review | Six is the pulse-quickening pleasure trove that Broadway has been waiting for – The Washington Post

Singling any one out at the expense of the others is a futile and possibly undermining act. Moss, Marlow and Armitage have made this evening about privileged women-on-the-verge giddily egalitarian. After Hicks’s explosive “No Way,” Macasaet sings the hip-hop comedy number “Don’t Lose Ur Head,” then Mueller steps up with a plaintive ballad worthy of Whitney Houston, “Heart of Stone.” The powerhouse rollout is sustained by Mack, via the buoyant “Get Down”; by Pauly, in the account of a child and woman cruelly used, in “All You Wanna Do”; and, at last, by Uzele, playing the wife who survived, in “I Don’t Need Your Love,” a song that defines the women’s movement, Tudor style.

“Dementia brings up everything”: Two new books offer emotional (and practical) advice for caregivers – Salon

My mom and my mother-in-law have never had much in common. Indeed, my relationships with both of them have been vastly different. Yet, somehow, they find themselves now in nearly identical plights: deeply withdrawn into the dark, frightening worlds of their own respective dementias. In a relatively short span of time, I've watched them both transform into nearly unrecognizable versions of their former selves. It is not a gentle or a peaceful experience. In observing these joint crises, there is much I didn't know — or never even thought about — before I had to. Yes, there are emotional things, the grief before the grief. But also the practical things, the "You don't remember how to brush your teeth?"-type things. The Alzheimer's Association estimates that more than 11 million Americans ar...
