N.J.’s least vaccinated counties are seeing 60% more COVID-19 cases than the most vaccinated – nj.com

Several New Jersey counties with the highest number of vaccinated people are seeing the fewest new COVID-19 cases, according to the Department of Health. An NJ Advance Media analysis of new cases during the period from August 1 to September 15 showed that those with a lower case number tended to be among those who had higher vaccination rates. The five counties with the highest vaccination rates combined to add 6.3 new COVID-19 cases per 1,000 people during the period analyzed. The counties with the five lowest vaccinates rates, meanwhile, added 10.1 new cases per 1,000 people — a rate 60% higher. Morris County has the highest vaccination rate in the state, at 66.5% fully vaccinated. The county’s 5.5 new COVID-19 cases during the period studied were the second-fewest in the state. ...

In fact, she claims to have played and beaten dozens of men. In the suit, Gaprindashvili called the incorrect dialogue “grossly sexist”. The lawsuit was filed in LA district court on September 16 and is focused mostly on one scene in the Queen’s Gambit. The popular Netflix show is about a fictional American chess player named Beth Harmon who rises up the ranks to become a globally successful chess legend. N.J. reports 19 deaths, 2,043 COVID cases. Rate of transmission continues to rise. – NJ.com

New Jersey on Saturday reported another 2,043 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 19 more confirmed deaths as the state’s transmission rate continues to increase. The seven-day average for confirmed positive tests is now 1,905, up 7% from a week ago and 32% from a month ago. The 2,043 cases reported Saturday also marked the third consecutive day with more than 2,000 cases. That hadn’t happened since late April. New Jersey’s statewide rate of transmission rose to 1.07 after sitting at 1.05 for two days straight. It was 1 on Sunday. Any rate of transmission number over 1 indicates that each new case is leading to more than one additional case and shows the state’s outbreak is expanding.
