Coronavirus in Oregon: 21 deaths, 2,011 new cases as summer surge slowly eases – OregonLive
Oregon reported 21 new COVID-19 deaths Wednesday and 2,011 new cases, adding to September’s grim toll from the disease but continuing a gradual decline in new cases and hospitalizations.
While the number of average daily cases remains higher than the 2020 peak, cases have fallen from the summer apex and state officials on Wednesday reported declining test positivity rates.
“The incidence of reported COVID-19 continues to be higher in Oregon counties with lower vaccination rates,” the agency said in a news release.
